Give me your best picks for shade loving perennials

I have a very shady area in my yard where I would like to plant some perennials and shrubs. I know there are many perennial plants and shrubs that are described as "shade loving" but I am hoping to narrow the choices available. If there are any gardeners who have a shade perennial that they love I would like to hear about it. What is your favorite shade perennial plant or shrub?

I am far from being a gardener but that is a very pretty color in the picture.

camellias, azaleas, fuchsias are what comes to mind also gardenias too. They all love shade
