Do you think the media is bullying Donald Trump?

I am not a big fan of Donald Trump being our next president. Nevertheless, I do feel that the media is "bullying" Donald Trump. Just about every news station I come across is portraying him in a negative way. Shouldn't they be showcasing each candidate in a fair and honest way? The media is wrong for playing up Hillary Clinton and for bashing Donald Trump.

The media bias from the beginning has been blatantly obvious. I don't like either candidate and am glad I'm not American and have to choose. It is very difficult for the average American at this point to really have a clear picture of either of them for making that decision.

@Hatley I'm aware such people exist, and many of them are whethering this storm as I am. But like I said the "average American can't think for themselves." I'm talking about the seneless lemmings who made these chowderheads our nominees not the silent majority with better sense.

@koopharper You give Americans too much credit if you think they can make a clear decision by getting a clear picture without the media's bias. Americans are raised and nurtured on biases by their environment and the media. As a result the "average American" can't think for themselves, they need an outside influence.

Trump has almost no positive aspects, so his negative portrayal in the media is almost justified. Regarding Hillary,I agree that media is definitely playing her up more than they should.

If the press didn't report his negatives, which as far as I'm concerned it's ALL negative, they wouldn't be doing their jobs at all. If the media is playing Hillary up more than they should, why do they almost never run her speeches and rallies on the air while they show basically every move Donald makes on live TV? It's estimated he's gotten BILLIONS with a "B" of dollars in free campaign time on the air.

@skysnap He's part of the problem, as he keeps giving them ammo to shoot him with. All he has to do is not give them anything to bully him with, but he obviously doesn't know how to do that...

Yes, I agree with you. They should be showcasing each candidate in a fair and honest way. God bless America, we need You Lord to help in this election and to help our Nation.

First I have to say if anyone deserves to be "bullied" it would be one of the worst bullies in the country if not the entire world. Mainly, though, I'm really curious to know what those who have responded her have been watching. Granted, there IS a great deal of "negative coverage" about Donald but what's the media supposed to do? Are they supposed to put a positive spin on his racist and misogynist remarks? Would you have them say it's perfectly fine for him to "suggest" that some "2nd Amendment people" might take a President Hillary Clinton out so she couldn't get her choices for the SCOTUS through? Should he get away with all his lies, such as his repeating over and over again like a madman that President Obama "founded ISIS"? I guess what I'm trying to say is this - if you all think the media is Hillary's "friend" I'd sure hate to see how an enemy would treat her!

There is plenty of money to be made now in the media. It is almost a media heaven. I don't think they are stopping to figure fairness out here just jump on the bandwagon and rant?

i wish the media would ask the same questions to both parties and the people involved. the media kept asking trumps daughter about his treatment of women, but not one asked chelsea about her fathers treatment of women.

Well, maybe it's because Chelsea's father isn't the candidate this time. I didn't hear the media asking Ivanka those things to be honest. Why didn't anyone ask her or Donald himself about the current civil suit against him stemming from multiple rapes of a then 13 year old girl back in 1994?

@Plethos For the first time ever regarding politics, yes I DO hate Donald and YES, my mind has been made up about him from the day he entered the race. However, it's sure not just based on this allegation, which isn't a false accusation since it's been corroborated by another woman who was there at the time, but my views are based on his long history of disgusting, racist, sexist, dangerous behavior. Hillary isn't perfect but she's a billion times better than that thug.

@anniepa - from your answer and other answers on here, i get the feeling you just hate trump and youre mind is made up on him regardless if this ends up being a case with false accusations. i find hillary more evil than you find trump. since you used an allegation with trump, i will use one on hillary. supposedly she was ruthless and evil towards any female that accused her bill of having his way with them. from bullying to threats, shes worse than trump.

I agree 100% with you. The media is terribly biased to the left and they are relentless in their criticizing of Trump. I watch cable news for hours a day and it spends about 55 minutes of every hour bashing Trump and barely mentioning anything about Clinton. Even when they mention Clinton, it's short and nowhere near as negative as what they do to Trump.

I think you're comparing apples and an orange, albeit a big, ugly orange...lol! There's a LOT of negative reporting about Hillary Clinton but there's more coverage of Donald overall. It seems like every rally he has is covered live, which is very annoying since I have to rush and change the channel since I can't even stand the sound of his voice. If it seems like Donald gets more negative coverage it's because he says or does nothing that's positive. What can be said that's good about attacking a Gold Star mother or mocking a disabled reported, just to name two examples?

@LindaCPearson I'm confused, Linda. On one hand you're accusing the "liberal" media of being unfair to poor little Donald but just now you said, quite accurately, they absolutely love him. First of all, I keep asking here and on other sites where I can find this "liberal media" because I've been looking for years and it doesn't exist. I really don't find listening to an angry old man who looks like a mad dog repeating the same hateful rhetoric and blatant lies over and over again to be interesting news coverage but I know that unfortunately enough like to watch him to improve the ratings. Thankfully that doesn't mean those people like him or that they'll vote for him.

@anniepa Blame the liberal media for all the Trump coverage. Their ratings and their payrolls have skyrocketed since Trump joined the race. They absolutely love him and will be very sorry when the election is over, especially if he loses and they lose 95% of their interesting daily news coverage.

I feel not only the media but people are not giving him a chance. Let him do his job.

The mainstream media, except Fox News, have kissed honesty, integrity, truth and understanding goodbye. They will never succeed until they change their ways and their hearts. Have you noticed that ever since the Trump phenomenon, people have woken up and found their voice and realized America's future hope for greatness and prosperity? It's a very good thing!
