Another Blender Gem-ish Shape

This is another Blender model. I wanted to make a shape with what are basically inclusions in it, and yesterday I realised that it was a lot easier than I thought, so there are now small white shapes scattered throughout. Adding more, if needed, will be quite easy now I know what I'm doing. I also managed to add more light sources successfully, so I may go back to the three previous blends and add more light sources to them; by comparison they seem rather dull, and as I'm trying for a gemstone effect, dull doesn't cut it. The image was made in Blender, saved as a png, opened in GIMP and resaved as a png, then opened in Photoshop, cropped and resized. For some reason by old Photoshop can't cope with the transparencies with the Blender pngs. Image: Me

I know several people who make cool designs and such to share online. I really don't know how they do it. It's a neat image.

I think it takes practice. And having the time to devote to practising. I've seen some really good 3D images that I'd love to be able to do (because the author is producing several every week and selling them if nothing else).

Looks like you're getting good with the blender. Someday I'll see some 3D animation from you if you persist like this :)

That might be a long way off - it's static images I want for the foreseeable future!
