What's in your dish???

I know we can't post recipes here, but I think it is okay to talk about the food we cook. Anyway... I love flavoring my food well, and will literally try to have every spice that exists on the planet, to use to flavor my dishes, as well as other condiments. One of the things I like to do is add soups, to flavor my dishes. I use broth, and stock too; but for this post...I am just focusing on the soups. My favorite two soups to use are: Cream of Mushroom, and Cream of Chicken. These two soups just adds so much flavor to casserole dishes, and I will even use them to make gravy. Do you have any favorite soups that you like to use, when you are cooking? And I am not just speaking of eating them alone, in a bowl. But actually...adding them to your dishes.

I have a nice carton of chicken broth, and I use the cream of mushroom soup too, like you do. I also use th Lipton dry onion soup mix in a lot of things. I probably use that more than anything else. In meatballs, meat loaf, hamburgers, all kinds of things.

I used to use that a lot. But then there was so many other things available, I just stopped using it.

Once I tried to add cream of chicken to my chicken puffs. Rather than making white sauce and adding cheese to it, I make a thick slurry of cream of chicken and add cheese to it and it just goes amazing as a filling to the puff pastries. The o lu difficult thing to find is puff pastry sheets here. I can make them from scratch but it is a real hardwork.

I don't know why I never think to use cream of celery.

I always so keen to experiment on using soups with my pot pies, casseroles etc. I haven't tried the yet. But I swear I want to use it for my pot pie that I always want to make and also for tarts. Do you think it will go well for my tarts too?

the thing is you COULD do a recipe, if you wrote other stuff with that post. Like memories associated with it, or things you learned making it, anything to take it from a post to a discussion
