i'm obsessed with ...

This was the prompt for my 'photo a day'. I'm obsessed with an awful lot of things. Which of them was worthy of being the subject of my photo? Maybe my perfume bottles? How about my dolls? My books? So many books! The bubbles in my bath? My perfect little puddy-cats? A cup of tea or two? My postcards from strangers? Certificates which provide answers to secrets in my Family Tree? Nope. I opted to take a photo of a little bit of my garden. I hate gardening. And yet, I love it immensely. This summer the garden has been my project. The pond is nearly empty; I'm nearing the bottom and the bottom is murky ... sludge, sludge, glorious sludge. I want to just rip the liner now but I've discovered carpet under the lining and concrete blocks under the carpet. Honestly, if the concrete blocks go all the way under the pond {which incidentally is built into decking} I'm going to be a hopping mad bunny. However, the pond hasn't been my only little fandangle. I have weeded. I have pruned. I have pulled. I have lost buckets of sweat. I've gone a bit brown {mostly my feet}. I've planted. I've panted. I've hoed. Mowed. Sowed. I've squealed at spiders and gone green in the vicinity of slugs. I've dug bricks out of the ground and I even made a couple of sketchy walls, which will fall down as soon as the wind pops along to say a cheery and wild, Hello! I've even started painting the gate. Go me ...

I have a habit of buying daft little things for the garden, much to Husband's annoyance!

Sketchy = not very good. :) The gate is green, ish. Not a murky pea green like the water in the pond, but green nonetheless!

As long as that isn't a selfie... but even if it is, gosh darn you're a cute, fluffy thing. Gardening interests me now in small ways - such as small pots with small plants and small tomatoes in small spaces. I would love to live in a pumpkin patch, but they take up so much room.

@poppylicious Top of my list for when I'm rich is to buy a resident gardner.

Having a garden is lovely, but it can be such hard work!
