Although they have been around for a while , I have not yet tried an adult colouring book. They sell the colouring books and the crayons in my local pound shop so it would not be an expensive pastime. Do any of you use adult colouring books, and what do you think of colouring as a hobby?

It is a nice and healthy hobby for people of all ages to use colouring books. I have some girl students who love it and color those books with the crayons on their books. The most popular book is about a hidden garden. When it is coloured, it is very beautiful.

@ModernDayWriter here's a online page I work with that's pretty easy to do if your interested in doing some it's very relaxing & fun too to clear your mind.
As a child there was nothing I enjoyed more than escaping into a coloring page with my crayons. Now I want to share that experience with your children. Welcome to the world of super coloring pages. From your child’s favorite animals, cartoon characters, an

Adult colouring is a similar hobby to what we all did as children.

I read about such colouring books. First I didn't understand what I was reading. Colouring books for adults? Then I saw some in book shops. I find this hobby weird, I can't understand the fascination it has for adults. Why not be creative and paint or draw something original if you feel like working with colours?

I would surely find it weird for myself to use a colouring book as an hobby, but as anyone with a curious and creative mind will always try something new and I can see you are a curious person.

@millie02 I'm a black dude from Texas, USA... I wouldn't be asking if I had seen them already. Though Texas is a big place, so maybe they do exist here...

I like it I have a few of them. Need to get me a sharpener for my colored pencils so I can get back at it again. I use my markers sometimes but can't in 2 of my books because they we;re dollar store books and have pictures on both sides and it goes through to the other side if I use markers on it.

It doesn't appeal to me, but my daughter in law wanted a book for Christmas last year. I made up a box of several books and things to go with them, but I don't know if she still colors, she hasn't said anything about it.

It is something that I have not tried and I do not think that it would appeal to me, but it seems to be popular. Several members here have mentioned it.

I do the online ones but I just bought one but not for coloring in, but to use on my wood crafts I do where I can burn them INTO the wood as a design which has some cool designs I can work with.

I haven't had a chance to use one yet but I know my daughter and her friends all color. They find it to be great stress relievers. Even though I have not used them myself I have purchased them as gifts for others. You can get some really nice high quality ones too if buying as a gift.
