What Is the Longest You've Ever Gone Without TV?

Currently I've gone 9 years and 5 months without TV. That's not the longest I've ever gone, though. I once went 12 years without TV. I know some people who can't even go one day without it. What's the longest you've ever gone?

Damn you must be reaaaalllly productive with your time then? TV usually takes a 3rd of peoples time.

A number of decades. I don't have a TV in my place. Since I was a kid, I was not fond of watching TV. If I visit my parents' place, I don't even turn on the TV. TV watching has never been my interest.

I think I'll never find myself in a home with no TV, but I don't watch it actively. I have my sweet laptop and I enjoy watching Youtube videos more. I don't even know what's on TV, I often go watch cartoons when my laptop or wifi connection don't work.

When I moved into a new flat years ago I decided not to have a TV. I lived there for 4.5 years and in all that time I never got one (although I would sometimes watch odd programmes at other people's places). I just didn't miss it and I was very happy with radio.
