Have you every had a rice ball? There is all kinds that you can make. Some you can even turn into rolls for kids. I once made the kids a rice and straweberry roll cooked in coconut milk. My husband likes making rice balls and I prefer mine with just sugar. My daughter likes here with pickles which I find disgusting. I mean disgusting because I spit that sucker right so quick I was whipping my tong off and finding something to wash my mouth out. We have tried with peanut butter chips, chocolate chips and jelly. The chocolate and rice was good. The jelly I didn't care for but my husband thought ti was good. The next time I have rice balls I have mine rolled in cinnamon and sugar that should be good almost like a rice pudding taste.

I was never a fan of rice balls. But my mother used to make them, all Italian style actually. Everyone in my family loves them.

@ShyBear88 I just don't really like them. I don't know what it is. I do like rice, but not rice balls. Go figure.

@inertia4 the way unlike it is just plain rice. Although I'd I did it with cut and cooked sweet peppers I would still like it.

@infatuatedbby I love rice. My kids don't like rice and fruit together. We tried that once and it failed.

I have a recipe for rice balls that is not mine. I shared it via Pinterest. To this date, it is my most shared pin. It's been shared hundreds of times. But it's a savory recipe. Not sweet. Apparently, it's a traditional Italian holiday recipe.
