Those Pink Bows Look Lovely on You, My Dear!

Well, after 2 1/2 hours of bathing, brushing, fur-trimming, and toenail-clipping, Molly looks pretty darn good for that $75 we paid the dog groomer. Molly has to be dragged into the dog groomer's establishment, sometimes carried in, because grooming is not on her list of good things to do, and therefore, will not go into that place on her own power. Due to Molly's double-coat, the groomer said they had to vacuum the floor of fur 4 times during Molly's beauty session. Molly also refused to hop onto the grooming table, like good dogs do, and had to be lifted and placed on the table. The groomer stated, "She is a princess, isn't she?" She does look good in the pink bows. Pink is the perfect color bow for a spoiled-rotten princess.

She doesn't look too happy with the pink bows, though.

Yes she is a beautiful dog for certain. The $75.00 is worth it when you see the finished work. I used to own a lassa apsa (not sure how to spell it) But she was a trip to groom. I never looked forward to it and usually had to have help. One time my Sister helped me and the dog "Amanda" peed all over us LOL. What a mess that was. She is currently in heaven awaiting her family. I absolutely believe our animals go to heaven. God gave them to us as a gift and that they are.

Well, she weighs 49 pounds, so probably considered a medium-sized dog, but she is pure muscle.

@Corbin5 Growing up, we had a Norwegian Elkhound. He was a medium size dog too, but with his big ol' head, he looked like a bigger dog in head shot photographs

@Corbin5 a friend of mine once had a dog that was so stubborn, she (the dog) would decide during a walk when it was time to head home, and not a moment sooner!

@YesWay Molly does that too! She will not budge those paws of hers if I go in a direction she does not like or she wants to head home.

That would explain Molly's expression, it looks like she's saying:"Get these stupid things off my head, or I'll bite you." My dog likes being brushed, but he hates baths, and he hates when I clip his nails... Plus you trim her fur? Outof curiosity, why?

Well, we have the fur on her tummy trimmed in summer so that she can cool her belly on the cool floors or grass. She gets a bit shaggy looking, and a trim neatens her up a bit. The groomer does a great job.

@Corbin5 Yeah, that makes sense so she can stay cool during hot days... And I forget how dogs are like kids, because she hates getting groomed, and it has those benefits.

She is beautiful but the expression on her face is one of hopeful revenge when she gets home ........ so did she go to her favorite spot in the yard and roll round til she no longer look so lovely? I got that idea from the look in her eyes.

She is ticked off big time! She has a bad attitude due to being 1/2 Chow Chow. The cost of the grooming was $55, but my husband gives the poor groomer a $20 tip since Molly is such a stinker.

she is such a big gal.... and sooo good looking ... although I have to say ... she does not look particularly amused in that photo.. she looks as though she is watching something or someone quite intently... or is she just grumpy from having been at the groomers...

She is angry with us for putting her through the beauty session. She has looks that "could kill," as my mom would say. My brother and his wife were coming yesterday to see us, and I kept telling her, "Keep your bows in until your aunt and uncle get here!" She works hard to try and remove them.
