Happy about the new fountain pen

It came today, cost about $10 and is made with real rosewood. Nib is german made or at least purports to be. It took a little for me to get it to feed but now it writes pretty well. They didn't advertize it but it takes cartridges as well as a converter. The converter is a little cheap and plastic-y, but I can replace it with my good glass and metal one if I want because they're the same size. So much for the gripers on Amazon complaining that it takes weird ink cartridge sizes! I like this pen very much. It feels nice in the hand and I'm happy with my purchase. I'll be doing a lot of drawing with it... ...likely at the immortal roll-top desk... (and no, I don't use quill pens, they're a pain.)

I haven't used a fountain pen since my early twenties.

I was never great with the edge on that sort of a writing device

This one works like a ballpoint pen, only smoother and requiring less pressure. It does fine lines so it doesn't really have an edge.

That's a pretty pen. Wood does roll nicely in the hand.

That's a nice fountain pen. Did you have your name be engraved on that pen?

Oh, not at all... but I'm not letting it out of my sight.
