Completed Coaster Sets

My goal was to complete these 3 sets last night before going to bed. That didn't happen as I decided I better make some surfing goals in the traffic exhchanges instead. After an early morning, then a long nap to make up for getting up early, I have been working on finishing them while still doing things on the computer. I just now finished them, took the picture, then in here to write about my finish. I will eventually list each set in my etsy shop, but first I am listing a set in military prints that I made at the quilt retreat. I will head and do that next. Not sure what to work on next now. What I want to do it start cutting fabrics to make lined bags from this huge pile of materials. That, however, will require me getting out a table and my larger cutting mat, and also will take me 3 or 4 days of cutting. Still thinking about it. I also am wanting to go gather all of my holiday printed fabrics and get them all into a bag for making future yo-yo's, which then I will make into table toppers. Of course I have loads of things I can get out to work on....what will it be?? Have a good Monday! p.s. I did write up my tutorial post on blogbourne on making the jelly roll style quilt top, but it's not been approved for publishing as of the last I checked. I actually will be putting up a tutorial on making these coasters too. I'm glad @GardenGerty figured out how to make them and then showed me.

I do know that I want to use bags inside the bag I will carry the yo-yo's and materials in. Zipper bags for each of the different holidays as I get them made. I'm thinking just sandwich zip locks will work for what I want.

@marsha32 that works :) i like these coz they aint flat 'n my schtuff didn't get all squished, lol. i'm hopin' not to've a need fer usin' 'em. ya know how i can't stand those u.f.o's 'round here. i'm workin' 2 diff'rent projects with those odd scraps 'n feel guilty when i switch from one to the other. gotta do't fer my sanity though. the one 'tis a bit tryin' whilst i battle'n my head how to get 't out to the fabric.

It was interesting to figure out the coasters from the ones you had. It is interesting that somewhere I have seen large padded hot pads made from the ten inch squares.

@marsha32 I think that it used a ten inch square and another with insul brite between and then the woven look on top. So then if you saw inside you would see a finished square.

It would definitely work with larger squares for hotpads too. Not sure about the opening part in the middle. Tack that down maybe just in the middle?

The coasters look nice. I am still wondering what the jelly roll quilt looks like. Weird that the site has to review and okay all your posts.

The editor says it's because they really want to help me be the best that I can be. I can appreciate that, I guess. I keep seeing posts there though that need editing. I know she is helping me because of knowing me for years online, but why does my stuff need to be close to perfect when so many others there aren't?

@marsha32 ......Perhaps she sees potential in you and so she spends more time going over yours. She doesn't see that as much in the others.

Yes, and if I don't get started on the exchanges there is no way I can surf what I need to for the cross promos today.
