I live in the county where the East Coast Quake of 2011 hit. It was pretty scary, there was a lot of damage around here,,and several people had to rebuild chimney's and garages. Also, the HS had to be rebuilt. What was really scary was the aftershocks...I remember one very violent happened when we were in bed. We have had small quakes since that time but none too major...Have you been in an earthquake?

I have been in many earthquakes of different magnitudes as my country is the place where there are more quakes in the world.

I guess they would always be scary no matter how many you had experienced.

@JudyEv I am very much scared of earthquakes. So my husband, who built my house, made the master bedroom in the first floor even though the househas 2 floors.

Yes. I was doing job in Latur..A place near Ahmadnagar. I have seen many business people in that place. I was working as sales Representative. There was a very rich merchant. He was living in a placiolus building. A quake in the year 1993 took place. The damage was immense. Till morning he was rich. By evening he was on the road begging some food on the road.

A tornado when I was a kid. It looks like Italy just had a bad earthquake. Poor people.

@snowy22315 I worry about that too. The descriptions! Ancient stone buildings falling on sleeping residents.

I can imagine that being in an earthquake would be very scary indeed. We were on the very edge of a small one once so that doesn't really count.

The small ones are virtually unnoticeable
