Years Of Hypocrites and Frauds

The education system is all messed up in this country. This is also the reason why everything cannot be about profit. I am more or less talking about higher education, but sure, private lower education schools get away with murder also. It is why I never bothered to go back to school out of high school or the Marines. I am not a big fan of contributing to the overall problem. Even though, society continues to say, "It is going to be this way or the streets for you if you do not comply." Their problem is I did join the Marines out of high school. I saw a perfect education system that worked in the Marines. Well, perfect is probably going to far, but you should get the point. We were actually paid to go to school. It may have not been much, but lets see, housing provided for free, meals paid for, a job waiting for you when you finished school. No if's, and's but's about it. No stress of worrying about how much debt you were getting into. No stress of worrying about not being able to finish school because your funds were going to run out. No stress of worrying about how to get employed once you graduated the class. Sure, we had to do guard duty while waiting for a class to open up. We were also the base janitors until said class opened up. Those were really easy sacrifices compared to what the average civilian student goes through, unless born into money. My only problem was my recruiter screwed me, by putting me as "open contract" Meaning, the Marine Corps could put me where ever they needed me most. I had no say in what I wanted to do. That is a long story, though. They did stick me in water purification at the end of the day. Kind if wished I would have stuck to that when I was discharged from the Marines also. That is also another story for another day. It is finally nice to here a story of how ITT Tech is under investigation in 20 states and that the school is banned from taking students who come in on federal aide. The school giant started to only care about profits and not actually teaching people. Their biggest problem seems to be that they stopped helping students get jobs once they graduated. Now, if the federal government would do this to every school that is robbing people who want to improve their lives. It would also be nice if the federal government would do this to themselves. They are also hypocrites by profiting off of student loans. We all pay in the end.

Oh thats good to hear that they are going after that school for not helping their students crossbones. There seems to be a great imbalance yes in the education system. It is like life time slavery for students having to pay up after school. Good you got yours in the Marines, but sorry to read your recruiter screwed you like that. I was lucky I guess I took a hands on trade and did not get into a bunch of debt.

That is what I am saying. Maybe they need to go with a more trade oriented approach. That is kind of what ITT Tech does or used to do. They were just really in depth with technology and why they were always so much more expensive than other trade schools. The other problem is how many businesses want their employees to have a college diploma for jobs that never used to require a college diploma. It is waste of resources and money if you ask me, but I am poor. It does show you that just because everyone gets a education, it does not mean everyone is going to be able to get good jobs. That there will always be poverty no matter what with the way we have our economic system set up. Sad to say, they always seem to be looking for the quick money making fix instead of the sustainable fix.

@crossbones27 Indeed crossbones quite right you are. When I was doing the hairdressing (my trade), there were many that sat in my chair as I was doing their hair telling me that they had no job even though trying so hard, after years of college..I was always so sad for them.

This is sad, everyone deserves the right to have an education. This system is not right.

I agree and the system seems to work for the people who have already made it and not the people who need the help the most.
