Pumpkin's positive post: Enjoying the new job

This is mainly a quick update about work and things. If you read my rant (and possibly other bits and bobs) then you'll know there has been a bit of a rigmarole with jobs and things. Well, I have now completed three shifts at my new job. I'm still doing the journalism (mainly as editor for an online business magazine) but I'm also a 'Sandwich Artist' at a service station Subway. It's not where I expected to be but I am enjoying it. There are a few issues but not with the job itself, which is varied and interesting. The hours are odd but, as long as I make sure I have someone to look after the little dude when I'm on late, I'll get used to that. I really love coming home to my family, of course. At the moment, I'm at D's (that's my fiance) with Mini (that's the little dude). D does what he can to help look after Mini, and he also looks after me. The big dude (Midi) is at his Dad's. He'll be there until Tuesday. He's also decided that he will stay with his Dad once college starts, because his Dad lives closer to the college. In fact, he could practically roll out of bed to get there, whereas living with me, he'd need to get a bus. Oh, I almost forgot, Midi got his GCSE results (well, most of them). He was a little disappointed with a couple, but he did well. He got two As, a B, two Cs, and a D (I think that's right). He'd already got an A and a B in other subjects, plus a Distinction in his BTEC. He's still waiting for a couple of results but he's predicted As in them. He has to register at college on Tuesday, then he'll start in a couple of weeks. Mini will start secondary school on the same day. That's all for now. I hope you're all having a good day. Would you like to tell me a good thing about your day?

I've mostly been putting salad on sandwiches :) But I've been doing other stuff too. Preparing bread, working the till (someone said it'd be a couple of weeks before I did that but I did it on my second day), and lots of cleaning!
