I'm sending you all invitations, They're going to all of your nations, Please take tea with me So that you can see Why England deserves celebrations. So now that you're here, let us party, Have fun in my garden so pretty, There are scones and jam Cucumber and ham, And the talk is bound to be witty. Everything is so harmonious Though be warned, you are erroneous If you think I won't care If you fall off your chair Into my bed of begonias! Oh where has the time gone? It's fled, We've drunk all our tea and been fed, I've loved meeting you, The same for you too? What a pity it's all in our head. Now please take a walk with me through my garden - I hope my very first attempt at a slideshow will work, if it does - thanks to @JudyEv for showing me how to do it. All photos are taken in my garden.
I created this video with the YouTube Slideshow Creator (http://www.youtube.com/upload)

How lovely and bright were the flowers! I could have observed them for hours. The scones were just right; The talk brought delight. Our hostess earns praises in showers!

There's nothing more fine than a garden, Especially when made by a friend. There's sun and soft shading And colours unfading It's a shame that all visits must end!

@RubyHawk No, we actually have afternoon tea very rarely. We have our main meal between 6 and 7pm, and it would mean we weren't hungry at that time.

@RubyHawk i'm so glad you enjoyed the tour, and I'm grateful to Judy for telling me how to do the slideshow. I'm such a technophobe Anyway, don't rush off, sit down and have a cup of tea and a scone with jam and clotted cream

@jaboUK I'm sure your tea is delicious. Do you have tea every afternoon? I love reading English stories, in all Agatha Christie stories tea was served every afternoon. I'm a technophobe, more's the pity.

I am about to head out of the door. I'll have to look at the slideshow when I return home from work in the morning. The poem, however, I quite enjoyed. Do you mind if I nip over to tesco or lidl's, aldi's or any of the other shops around? I need to take advantage of getting some of my favorite biscuits so cheap! (compared to what we have to pay in the US for digestives etc).

What a beautiful garden. I played this for Anne and she was envious, saying that it what an Oregon garden should look like if we had not had so many 100 (37C+) days.

The afternoon was a delight Those flowers so incredibly bright And such lovely food I don't mean to be rude But the whole thing was a sight (to be seen) Well done. What beautiful flowers. I loved the fuchsia and the begonias and the views of sections of the garden. Really lovely. 5 seconds might have been better but I always worry about the slideshows becoming too long. There was no way this would ever be too long. Thanks so much.

@JudyEv Lovely rhyme as a response - thank you. I was worried about it being too long, but I think you are right - another second would only have added another 24 seconds to the whole thing. I'll know next time if I ever do another. I know I've thanked you already, but I never would have even attempted this if you hadn't shown me the ropes

@jaboUK People have such short attention spans these days - me included but as you say, 24 photos, 1 second extra each - only 24 seconds. I guess in the long run it doesn't matter too much but mostly I stick with 5 seconds now.

That was great, Janet, and you even got some music playing in the background. I could put together one of those too and you all could see my weed garden I've been working on for the last few years along with some of the flowers I used to have in it. Now they are all in different places and I may be buying a few more tomorrow. Maybe I'll consider trying that out sometime when all the weeds are finally gone. I liked how you snuck a little spider into the video with the flowers.

@MarshaMusselman I was really pleased with the way the slideshow turned out - you know I'm a technophobe so had never even thought of trying it until Judy told me how to do it. It wasn't difficult at all once I got my mind past the 'I can't' stage I look forward to seeing if you do it.
