I'm sitting here in my bed looking at my daughters school schedaule. She is going to be a busy girl. Her lunch happens pretty early in the day. It's at 10:25 every day, then she has snack at 12:30 but not on Fridays it's later because they have computer class so her snack time is at 1. So I told my husband to make sure to bring her snack on the days she rides the bus so she isn't hungry.

Yes, our schoolchildren have to adjust their mealtime with the school schedule. Our daughter is studying now. She will have her breakfast at 9:30, get ready for school and should be at the roadside for the school bus to take her. The classes start at 11o'clock and end at 5:15pm. By the time she returns home it's 6 in the evening. Then, she eats something substantial peacefully.

She has a late start. We eat dinner around 5pm and the kids are in bed by 7pm. Two nights a week my daughter has soccer practice so on those nights dinner for her is later.

Wow, that seems really early for a lunch! At least they get to have a snack early in the afternoon. I bet that helps a lot... hangry kids aren't up for focusing on much except their empty bellies!

Nope they are not. It's hard to focus when hungry. That is why I plan on giving her a snack after school lets out because dinner isn't till 5pm.

My grandchildren have early lunches too & it boggles my mind how kids can get through a long school day when they eat so early

I know the high school level depending on the class you can eat a small snack as long as it's not loud as well as drinks. Little kids eat a lot so at least I know she is getting a break around normal lunch time for a snack and I'll give her a snack after school each day since dinner isn't till 5pm and she needs to eat off and on during the day like me.
