Does anyone chew chewing gum anymore? I don't cause I'm afraid for my teeth. But my favorites used to be Dubble Bubble and Spearmint. I loved blowing bubbles and I'd chew huge wads of it when I was a kid. Oh, I liked the blackjack, too. It was a real mess. So do you have a chewing gum history? What kinds did you or do you like? Does it lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight? Do you blow bubbles?

When I was a kid I used to buy Boozaka. That was the name of the gum. I liked it because of the comics I get on its wrapper. Cool wasn't it? I don't buy chewing gums anymore.

@CinnamonGrl painful and expensive, no longer worth the pleasure we got from it when we were younger

@CinnamonGrl Yes. I only chew on one side since an old feeling is being sensitive now. I also have to watch what gum since I had teeth replaced after an accident and they stick.

I still chew mint-flavored chewing gums, very useful when I have to mantain a nice breath for a few hours! The ones I chew are the standard ones and they don't contain sugar but artificial sugars (which can be even worse) and flouride (contained in toothpaste, it kills bacteria but it can also be poison for humans). I used to blow bubbles (in Italy we have a gum called "Big Babol"), I tried recently but my mouth was aching, I'm not used to chew that much anymore!

I never was one for chewing gum. I never did but both of my brothers liked to chew gum and always had some in their mouths. They quit when they got older.

I can't even remember the last time I chewed bubble gum. I used to chew Extra until my jaw started hurting and found out I have TMJ. Now I use mints.

LOL! Great topic! I used to love bubblegum so much! I'd blow great big bubbles and they would, of course, burst all over my face! I couldn't snap it the way my friends could, though. But those days are done. I can't remember the last time I chewed any kind of gum!

I took some from a friend one day several months ago to freshen my breath, but I didn't last with it very long. It hurt my jaw to chew it.

I chewed a lot of gum when I was in college....always had a pack in my bag. My fav. was standard mint. Over time I realized that chewing gum was filling air in my tummy and making me hungry. Now i don't have any because I've got adult braces and I can't have any. I don't crave it anymore.

Yes, I chew gum, it relaxes me..and it is certainly better than smoking? If I have bubblegum, I do blow bubbles. Like the dentist recommends though...I stick to sugarless!! most of the time.

@CinnamonGrl Sure, if the gum is thick enough you can make bubbles out of anything.

I like the part about the bedpost. How we only had so much to get gum and so didn't want to throw any away. Spearmint.

Very occasionally. It's harder to find one without sorbitol nowadays and that stuff doesn't agree with me! As a teenager I liked one called Dentine which was supposedly not bad for your teeth.I haven't had bubble gum for many years but you can actually blow some sort of bubble with chewing gum - which is a sad thing to do at my age!
