The Struggle is Real....

I've been trying so hard to eat healthier lately. Not that I don't eat healthy already but I tend to snack a lot and the snacks I eat basically cancel out the benefits of the healthy food. lol For dinner today I had a spinach salad with some turkey breast, some organic blueberry applesauce, and an apple. After I finished I had this insane craving for something unhealthy. I don't know why. It's like my body was like "Are you kidding me?" I lost the fight about half an hour later and ate two nutella sandwiches. Ugh. I need more self control. lol

Sounds like a very healthy dinner. I think as long as you add in healthy stuff, it's ok to throw in some snacks lol.

I keep telling myself that but I feel like the unhealthy snacks are defeating the purpose of the healthy meals. lol

Better to eat healthy and unhealthy than eat unhealthy alone lol seriously our body needs adjusting, give it time, it would look for what it was used to getting but would later detect what it really needs

Because eating "healthy" never satisfies. Your tummy and brain are less than thrilled by spinach and tuned on by chocolate.

You should have gotten enough nutrition from your dinner to not have to worry about the sandwiches. I don't think they'll hurt you.

I hate it also when I give in to cravings but my advice is to not beat yourself up too much about it and make your next meal a healthy one. Sometimes I also feel like my will power is tested when I deny myself for so long sweet treats so it is ok to give in once in a while to remove the feeling that you are depriving yourself. Best of luck on your healthy eating journey.

I have a big issue with my weight...because I just love food..healthy, unhealthy, I like and eat it all! Some things I can resist, but other things..not so much
