I just found this photo and posted it on a new website for photography. It is a favorite photo of mine I took while cruising the Caribbean with my husband years ago.
Some old friends from Redgage, Bubblews and even Gather are making money on line by sharing their photos. I was delighted to find the site. And delighted to find old friends again...
I am leaving tomorrow to visit my sister and the two of us are going on a Cruise to Alaska. It was on my bucket list and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to do this with my sister. We fly to Seattle and travel north on a ship.
I will have my iPad with me but I may not be on Mylot often. I will catch up with everyone when I get back.
Elaine and I are doing three excursions and I look forward to taking some awesome photos and now have a place to put them on line.
Our three trips off the ship will be Lighthouse, Totems & Eagles Excursion, Mendenhall Glacier & Whale Quest, and White Pass Scenic Railway.
I'm excited and ready to go. My bags are packed.
Keep your fingers crossed for us with good weather... Although I have packed rain gear and rain will not dampen our trip.

Oh wow, that is going to be totally awesome ..... I hope you get to see a whale or two jumping out of the water, now that would make for a really koooool picture.

@rebelann looking forward to using my camera. We leave on Sinday. I beat the holiday traffic and am at my sisters house. I just woke up and from my bedroom window it looks like rain today. I just hope the hurricane coming up this way stays far enough away from us so our flight is ok to go.

@PainsOnSlate that's wonderful that y'all're now takin' similar paths. i'm with yer sweet dad! feel the same way 'bout flyin', avoidin' such 's much 's humanly possible, lol. i've yet to travel by train...'tis'n my bucket list though, e'en if such's jest a short run.

My parents visited the places my sister and I are going too and loved it. They didn't do a cruise they traveled and toured by train. My parents loved the train and never once in their lifetime got on a plane. My dad always said, if God wanted me to fly I'd have wings!!

@crazyhorseladycx when I went to collage in Kansas, my parents sent me there on a train, the first half I had a sleeping cabin and changed trains in Chicago for a train full of kids going to Kansas to collage... The good old days, the 1960's... Haven't been on a train since then, I fly or drive...

I did join the other day after your recommendation and am MarshaM there. Now I wish I used my whole name, but that's okay. I've yet to post any pictures on it though. Were you able to get your pen name to work finally, or what other name did you use instead? I tried both the versions from mylot and the one you used on bubblews, but then found out that you'd not been successful as yet.
I was looking for an image of a dog we used to have, on my computer and ran across a folder labeled Hawaii. I'm thinking those might be a place to begin with that new photo site. Now it's just a matter of getting at that.

@PainsOnSlate I never deleted my notification when reading this last week. Now I'm glad that I didn't delete it, for I've been trying to remember the name of that site or which post it was located on. This is much easier than all the looking I could have done.
Not sure when I'll go back and begin putting on images, but hopefully sooner than later.

I am Paints.On.Slate there, capitals and dots between. I will look for you and you can change your name. I couldn't get my favorite and used a real name but then thought it might be better not to do my real name so just erased the first and put in thr other and it worked...

I read that there are a lot of mosquitoes in Alaska.
Bring along insect repellant just in case.
I hope you have a very good trip and come back to tell us about it.
Alaska cruise is in my bucket list too. However, I will wait till a very harsh winter is over before I go.
In this case, I will get to see more ice.

My husband and I are old, we always travel when we can. We couldn't afford it when the children were small. Back then we traveled by car, its nice to be able to fly and cruise when we really want to. I love that photo, the editing turned a cool shot to a piece of art. Glad you liked it.

IM taking the iPad to take photos on the ship, we decided not to get wifi, it was a choice, so we will not be on line at all, while on the ship, on our stops we will email to our families and maybe send an update to myLot...

iPad to take ONLY photos is ok,you are on vacation,enjoy it and dont let online get on the way.I always have to wait so long for my vacations so when l at last have a vacation,online world is closed and l just take a ME time.
