~Late Start But Catching Up~

This morning my whole house slept until 9am! We had breakfast and got started at 9:30am on school. Much later than usual but school work is getting done so that's all that matters. Today in science my kids learned about all of the things animals need and what kinds of shelters they need as well. In Social Studies we learned about the Patriotic Holidays. For math we did a couple worksheets. In health we learned about the different Vitamins, where we get them and what they do for our bodies. =) The kids are finishing up their math worksheets and we will be finished for today. Another successful school day! I am going to vacuum in a little while but for now I'm spending time here with everyone! =)

I do not have any rugs in my house and will not be getting any. i like the wooden floors just sweep and mop if they look really bad.

@jstory07 I actually don't have carpet or rugs either. I have tile floors. I find it easier to just vacuum all of the rooms rather than sweeping them all.

It doesn't matter at what time you start the day, the important thing is that you do the teaching and kids love it. Is your husband feeling better now?

@marlina That is true and we always get their work done-no matter what time we start. My husband is still in a lot of pain and we are still waiting for the results, thank you for asking.

Do you learn yourself as you go along too? It sounds as if you've been very busy, I admire you for home schooling.

It's more important to spent time with the kids to deal with their school activities, so don't worry we understand.

We got a late start too mainly cause I got woke up yet once again by my rude neighbors. Everyone is almost done here we are doing independent reading time aka quiet time, lol. Laundry needs to be done later on tonight will probably let them get some outside time before the storms roll in later.

I think home schooling is great for the kids where they can get the one on one help if needed.
