Here is another picture of a mother and child. These monkeys are called Gray langurs. These are common to south Asia. I found the mother and child pair rather cute and took a few photographs of them.. They didn't seem too concerned with me looking at them or even getting close to them.
It was fun to watch these langurs playing on the trees. They seemed much more gentle than the normal monkeys we see around here. Do you like these Langurs? Have you ever seen one of these before?

I don't think I ever have. Those are really very pretty animals. They have soft looking coats. Great photo

@epiffanie I normally keep my distance with monkeys.. but these guys seemed so preoccupied in their own world.. and pretty gentle with each other.

Nice couple of monkeys. I never cared for monkeys and not sure why. They tend to creep me out.

pretty little monkeys. We of course dont have any such thing wild, so the ones I see, in zoos and such, I often feel bad for. Unless it's one of the good zoos

@Jessicalynnt Some how the animals in the zoo pale in comparison to the ones in the wild I think.. However, we can at least get to see a rare creature in a zoo.

@sofssu they do. some zoos though do a good job at giving the animals space and natural habitats, and keeping people to where we can see, but not disturb

@andriaperry Monkeys are interesting creatures no doubt, but no I would never think of having one in my home.. They would turn the house upside down.

Wikipedia : Gee's golden langur (Trachypithecus geei), or simply the golden langur, is an Old World monkey found in a small region of western Assam, India[3][4] and in the neighboring foothills of the Black Mountains of Bhutan.[5][6] It is one of the most endangered primate species of India.[6]

Coincidentally my newspaper carried an article on golden langurs today.
"The golden langur has been listed in the world's 25 most endangered primates"
.Announcement was made at the joint meeting of International Primatological society and American Society of primatologists held from Aug 21 to 27 in Chicago.
