Later today, I will be going out into the back garden to pick some figs and some blackberries that have just become ripe for picking. I will use these to make us some pudding. Do you know of any recipes where you can use figs and blackberries?

I love blackberries with just a little sugar sprinkled on them. Otherwise a pie would be my choice

It is really nice that you can pick figs and Blackberries from your own garden.

I have never made anything with figs, and blackberry pie is the only blackberry recipe I have tried.

A fruit crumble would be a lovely way to use the blackberries. Not sure about figs as I have no experience of using figs in cookery. I did buy some balsamic vinegar infused with fig though and that was very nice.

I never know what to do with figs either, so I just put them in with other fruits.

Oh my. Fresh figs. I'd love to go with you. Figgy pudding? Blackberry cobbler? My daughter called that blackberry cobweb when she was little. You can put most anything into a muffin recipe. Fig scones?

I guess they could both be frozen for use later.
