Cat Interferes with Washing Machine

My adopted cat made one of our washing machines his home. He loves to sleep among dirty laundry.
I made one of our old washing machines as a hamper for storing soiled clothes, and I am using an automatic one which is more comfortable to use. This morning, I inspected it thinking the spin drying was finished, but when I lifted the cover, I found out there's so much water in it. I thought there was an error in the system.
I restarted it, then left. Later, when I inspected, I found the cat on top of the cover of the washing machine and he could had stepped on the pause/stop button that's why the machine stopped.
So I always cover the buttons with a large basin so he could not climb over it and meddle with my washing.

Yes, so I had to reset it again. I just covered the top cover with a big basin so he won't step on the buttons.

Yes, but I do not leave the washing machine plugged when I am not using it.

lol It's funny how we have to adjust how we do things because of our pets. :-)

Yes, it is true, sometimes I can not just go out because my dog will dash out and it is so hard to catch him.

@acelawrites lol Oh, I've done that before. The smaller dogs are harder to catch. lol

So true, because having a pet means additional responsibility too. So I made another bedding for him there.

We decided to adopt it to :guard" our house from snakes. I fear snakes and they say snakes fear cats.
