I assume it would be difficult...but really committed people find a way to make it work. There are some who need the physical presence of a person to be able to love them...for such people it usually doesn't.

i think people of the either countries be judgemental especially when those are enemy countries like india and pakistan, in terms of Sania Mirza (Indian tennis) and Shoaib Aktar(Pakistani cricketer)
