Are You a Close-Book into Your Partner?

There are times that I am wondering why some people seemed so mysterious in a relationship. All I can say, it is supposed to be open in everything especially with a partner. I think that is ideal for a partner to share things and even the ups and downs of life. A friend of mine was asking for a help in regards to her situation. His boyfriend doesn’t want to open up and makes so many alibis whenever she asked about personal things. Can she just stop asking his guy about personal life? Image Credit: pixabay.com

I think some people are just in the process of rebuilding themselves and want to appear shelled up. And that makes them closed book.

I hope he is not keeping some personal intentions to break her heart.

Each relationship is unique. We have to deal with them in a way we best can

I guess we need to be open in anything especially for having a relationship.

Bad communication will eat away at your relationship. I am very happy with my boyfriend now because with him I get to be honest about my feelings. We still argue but we make up very quick as well. However, I know couples will always have stuff they would rather keep to themselves. Just because youre a couple doesnt mean you cant have your own privacy.

...or worse, decide for the couple what they should do. The failure of their relationship has to be because of their weaknesses, not because their friends told them to do so.

I think you have a point. However, if a person totally closed for open communication, then where can a relationship go.

@Theresaaiza All I hear about my dear friend. Her guy never talks about his family background and close friends of him. I hope they can work it out.

You have to open up otherwise it's not a relationship

That's what I like too. Why we need to keep things if you have a partner, right?

My fiance and I talk all the time. There isn't anything that we can't talk about. We have great communication and that is why we have such a good relationship.

That's what I am thinking. But this guy refused to have such talking session with his partner. I find it weird.

@Happy2BeMe I hope this guy will open up. If not, the girl is planning to close the chapter of their relationship.

If I were her I would break off with that man. I don't think it will end in a happy relationship if that is his attitude.

@Shavkat yes, how can you be happy with a person who can't be honest enough to tell you all.

I agree. I have only two principles in life: respect and honest.

I think she should respect his individuality....love the person as he is...lives of both will go smoothly.

It is fine to other people. But it doesn't work for some.

@Shavkat perhaps....but that's for sure that they are complicating their lives for no reason.

I get why she would be asking questions... she just wants to connect. But people do have different personalities ... it is harder for some to open up even if they love the other.

That's heartbreaking part for her. She wanted to know the guy better. But this guy remains in silent.

If I were your friend, I'd start to sense something going on by now. It's just doesn't feel right if you don't open up to your partner, like something is lacking in your relationship. I've been dating my boyfriend for two years now and even from the start there has been nothing to hide for the both of us. We always tell each other everything even though sometimes it would hurt us, we still manage to talk it out. My boyfriend not opening up to me would make me feel like he doesn't trust me enough.
