We call it "ugsa" or young leaves of chayote. And you know what is the best partner for this food? Sardines. Yes, its been a long time that I have not tasted the young leaves of this veggies so when we passed by at the vendor, we buy some of their vegetables being sold. I bought young leaves of chayote and then the cucumber fruit. My companion Jeff bought cucumber fruit and carrots. And now, we are having chayote leaves.

I've learned so many things just by reading posts about food on MyLot. I love sardines but didn't know about chayote leaves. Interesting!
