My parakeets don't want to have "children"!!!

I have two parakeets, one of them is called "Blanquito" and the other is called "Pimpino". Three days ago a friend gave me two parakeets more, but nothing happened, until now they have not mated. I think they are gays jiji :-) :-), They always kiss each other ,but also they sometimes fight. I don't know,but in the same way I love them so much.

Gay is not the right term but " false pair" lol, if there are only 2 with no alternative, they will bond together even if they have identical sexes. Learn also how to distinguish the sexes of your birds so you get a true mating pair

@brenda7 yes that's the most likely and logical explanation why they do not produce eggs. Btw do you have a nesting house and nesting material inside the cage? That could also be a reason

@louievill aah..you're right. I think I should buy a little nesting house and place it inside the cage.

They will not breed if the cage is too small. They need a bit of space and a nesting box so they can make a nest for their eggs. And of course you need to make sure you have a male and a female.

I think they do not want anybody in between them.
