Have to Work an Overnighter Next Week

Our managers have gone off the deep end. A group of us have been chosen to work from 7pm - 5am next Sunday to thoroughly clean the store from top to bottom. Our store is very clean to begin with but apparently we need to scrub every tiny bit of dirt away until someone could safely have surgery in the building and not get an infection. I feel like this overnight thing is ridiculous because in just a few short months we will begin remodeling our store. There will be dust and dirt all over the place very soon and all our cleaning will be for nothing. The managers won't listen to us though. We are their robots and just have to do as we're told. :-(

That is some unfortunate news. Hopefully they would pay you some overtime pay or something like that.

It's a grocery store. The store is very clean already but they want it to be even cleaner. It just seems silly since the remodel is going to be so messy.

Our store manager is great, it's the managers above him that make things difficult for us. I hope they will listen sometimes, too.

It's a grocery store. We clean it very well every day but they want random things cleaned now. Like behind shelves, in the storage room, etc.
