Bad Start to a Good Day

Sometimes it doesn't pay to get out of bed. Usually when a day starts bad, it just keeps going in that direction. Yesterday we had rain all day again, and my son had my car, and knowing I hate driving in the dark in the rain, he kept the car and brought it back this morning. However, it was later than I expected, and due to the lateness, I was in a foul mood. I did everything I could to talk myself out of this unreasonable foul mood. It wasn't until I turned on the TV and flipped through the channels and landed on Daystar and Joyce Meyer, that I knew God was speaking to me about the unreasonableness of my mood, and was able to finally get rid of it. I also ended up taking a short nap. Being up early and yes, in the pool, though late, I was super tired. By the time I got up again, my foul mood had disappeared and I headed over to the car shop for one last fix for the car. This time it didn't take too long. I needed to get a spark plug wire fixed. It had rubbed almost bare and needed replacing. I had thought it was the reason for the check engine light. They said it wasn't as it turned out, and reset the sensor and told me that if it comes back on, bring it back and they will try to find what is causing it. Hopefully that won't be necessary and the next time I take the car in will be for the oil change. So all things are good, and I finally was able to get my Bible Study done and posted, as well as reading through and commenting on a lot of the notifications that continually pile up as I haven't been here as much as I like, and I will be disappearing again for a little while to get more unpacking done. I'm almost finished with the living room and I want to get it cleared out. I will be back and clear out another day's worth of notifications before I go to bed tonight. I'm on September 4 at the moment. I hope you're having a good day. Thanks for reading.

I am glad to hear that you were able to get over your not so good mood. It happens to all of us at times. The best thing is to find something positive and more forward. I had a pretty good day so far.

I hope you're trying to enjoy the unpacking and getting your house in order. Sometimes unpacking is nearly as stressful as packing.

Yes it is. I'm down to the last of it all. Still several boxes, but they're the ones I need to figure out what to do with. I'm running out of room fast.

I just might have done that. Either that or I'm having empathy pains as my whole left side of my rib cage is extremely sore and I didn't do anything that I know of to cause it other than unpacking, but I doubt that's the cause. So I'm taking it easy for a couple days and let it heal. I'm also taking Ibuprofen to relieve the pain or I wouldn't even be able to handle being on the computer.

@RubyHawk I aggravated it yesterday and paying for it today, so I'm not doing any kind of unpacking as that would be too much for my rib cage. As it is it hurts to walk.

That's good to know you were able to change the negativity into positive. For me it isn't easy if I get into a bad mood it will stay that way longer. Right now I'm feeling good and I feel blessed and lucky in life.

good for you keeping the mood contained, sometimes I will just tell those around me, I am a Grump, so just leave me be for your own sake

@just4him So often being later than one might like isnt a bad idea. I have also decided that I have a cut off time for when I am leaving, which is later than I'd prefer. like when I WOULD actually be late, and if ppl dont show up on time, I go ahead and leave them. Logical consequences

My son knew I was angry, and I did everything I could to contain it and get over it. However, the one thing I hate most is being late for anything. And the problem with it all, is I wasn't really late, only by my own time table as I like to do things and get things done by a certain time. It didn't happen, but I did come close. I'm just going to need to be aware that it's no big deal if it happens again and hopefully I won't get into an unreasonable foul mood.

@crazyhorseladycx They found disconnected wires and spliced them back together. Now it's completely fixed and they didn't charge me anything for it, so that was a real blessing.

I don't know why they didn't notice it either. It's fixed now, but unfortunately it's going back to the shop on Wednesday to find out why the check engine light is back on.

What a mean mama who doesn't want her child to go outside when it's raining so she can avoid being sick. One day she'll understand.

I am pretty even tempered for the most part so I don't think I have ever woke up in a bad mood unless I have a migraine. But I am glad that your day turned around.

I woke up to an item sold on ebay. That always makes my day. We had found a lot of refund bottles and cans while walking. So we went and cashed all of them in. In the first place the machines were not working. So we had to go to another place. I can not believe that had a nickel a can and bottle that people still threw them away. A month worth of find brought us a little over $22. We got a pizza.
