Workout Achievement

For the first time in five years I started jogging again. It was only for 6 minutes at 5 mph, but it felt great to do it again. I am disappointed in myself for letting myself ever stop jogging/running. But I will eventually be able to run again like I did when I played softball. Slowing going to work myself up to that again. I know it isn't much of an achievement to some people, but it means a lot to me.

We crawl before we walk, we walk before we run. Every tiny achievement is a step towards bigger achievement so take it easy and be proud of these baby steps. I used to play softball although I enjoyed warming the bench more cause sports just freak me out. I did it back in high school just so I don't get dumped into the crappy cheerdancing squad. (We didn't have a proper cheerleading squad so it was more of a dance of shame more than anything lol)

I loved playing. I was always the practice runner during practice. I played every where on the feild but as I got into the older leagues I waa in out feild mostly because I was the fastest runner & had a great glove.

@CaseyRoss9966 I did second base most of my softball playing life (which was very brief). Cause I couldn't pitch, and being a fielder entailed so much running. I am glad you enjoyed the sport. It was fun while it lasted.

I'm jealous! I want to jog again but I'm now recovering from a sprained ankle so once I am ok, I will start once my ankle is ok.

I only ever stopped because I broke my ankle & it never healed properly & I had a lot of problems with it for a few years after. Now it's better though so why not try to start running again.

HI! Just continue what is it that you love to do. Compete with your own self. Try to be better than what you were before. Those things will give you an inner peace. I know it because that is what I am practicing too. Good luck and may you improve more in the long run. I am happy for you.

I was an avid runner until I hurt my knee earlier in the year, and then I had to stop for awhile to let me knee heal. And of course, just as soon as I'm ready to start running again, I go and do something stupid like break my ribs! lol

That's great. I've been kinda lax about my exercising lately.

No..It means a lot to others also. One should know the importance of workout. Jogging after a gap of 5 years is not so easy. It is a great job really.
