Happy birthday to our "baby" boy!

Today is our son's birthday. He and his daddy played golf (in 96 degree temps!), then later our grandson and I met them at a local steakhouse. Afterwards we went back to our son's house for birthday pecan pie and gifts.
The day our son was born was one of the happiest days of my life. I was so young (19) and my husband was still in Hawaii, waiting to get out of the Navy. It was two more weeks before he got to see his new baby boy.
I'm so proud of the Christian man and single father our son is.
I absolutely love both our children and all our grandkids, but there's just a special blessing that comes with the firstborn.

Proud, another kinds of love that makes you overwhelmed and feels like you drowning in a pool of too much blesses and happiness.
