Diary Thursday 8th September 2016 A fairly quiet day and a chance to explore one of the last main bus route areas of the city of Preston I haven’t yet charted, spotting a few pubs so far unseen by me and an interesting churchyard, at St. Andrews, in Longton, and a fabulous looking Hindu Temple, The Gujurat Temple, tucked away in the back streets near the main city railway station. Diary Friday 9th September 2016 Welfare day, always un-nerving and more so for seeing a different advisor than usual though the lady I saw was friendly enough and happy with my job-search activity. I did a little shopping before exploring the main city museum and art gallery. I’ll be doing individual features on some of the lovely art on display there. Back home I did laundry and updated my job search records. I normally do poetry open mic events on Fridays but I have a busy week ahead and need to economize so tonight was a rare Friday night at home for me. Arthur Chappell

I would love to attend and if I ever visit, I will have to go to an open mike night. Anyways, the flags reminded me of the prayer flags we used to hang off our apartment, I loved the color, and the idea

@Jessicalynnt I love our open mic events - they are often the best starting place for new performers to develop their talents - far better than crass Karaoke nights
