When buying shoes, the only part that I pay attention is the sole

I always choose shoes based on the sole.
I like rubber soles, and I will use my hands to rub on the soles to make sure that they are not slippery.
I like soles that are stitched instead of glued to the shoes since we have rainy days almost every alternate day.
I cannot afford to have the shoes disintegrate on me when I am halfway home.
The only issue is that shoes that are comfortable with rubber soles stitching and made of leather are expensive.
It is hard to find a pair of good shoes at less than a hundred dollars even with deep discount.

That is exactly what I do.Now there are varieties of soles and some of them are slippery and wear down soon at the heel .

Yes, I like a thick sole too, especially when it is a rubber sole.
Rubber sole gets thinner and thinner as we walk,
It sure does not slip easily. Since my area rains practically every other day, I do not want to buy shoes that will turn slippery on rainy days.
I like shoes that breathe too, so that my shoes will not smell even after 14 hours of wearing.

I need shoes that bend when walking. I cannot even understand shoes that have wooden soles.

Not that hard to find, but you have to find those brands meant for special needs.
I think you can check out Happy Walker.
They have shoes for all kinds of feet problem, and they will customize the insole.
I think it is rare for shoes to cater to the needs of diabetic patients.
