smart city concepts I attended a 2 day international conference on smart city. It concluded today. Some of the concepts I will list here. 1) There is no accepted definition for smartcity. 2) The concept varies from country to country 3) It requires 24/7 water supply, electricity, medical, transportation, new gadgets and many more things 4) it requires smart people, smart way of living. 5) sustainability 6) Benefit to all people.

I think smart city is good but you have to understand that not all cities can be like that and properly managed.

Sounds like you learned quite a bit from the conference. I learned a bit too since I was not aware of the term "smart city."

I really wonder why the concept of a smart village is totally neglected? This is what India needs now. This is totally disappointing. But, as an Administrator I can not make comment more.
