I went out side briefly and saw two deer in my yard. Do you ever see deer where you live? They always show up when you least expect them.

We often have roos as you know. Sometimes I go flying outside without thinking and there is a great flurry as they all go charging off.

I heard that roos are a little dangerous when we meet them

@MattMeng Mostly they are only too pleased to get away. Some lose their fear of humans and then they might be dangerous but most of the wild ones are very frightened of humans.

@JudyEv I saw some wallaby's at the zoo, and they were very docile. I guess it is roos that are wilder.

@ilocosboy Yes, they are fun to see. They are about the size of a calf or a llama.

You are lucky to have deers in your yard. In my country, we don't have such animal. The only thing that I can see in my yard are my tow dogs and a cat.

From the ages of fourteen to sixteen we lived in the front of a wooded area. It was routine to see deer in our backyard, which I absolutely loved.

These were in the front. I don't really have a backyard, my backyard is the woods.

I have never seen deer before actually. That's really neat that you get to see them in your yard!

Oh how we would love to see deer - but there's no way in our neighborhood. We have squirrels, and apparently raccoons (they say that but I've never actually seen them) and all kinds of birds.
