Have any of you updated your iPhones to iOS 10 yet? I updated mine last night, and I stayed up late playing with the phone learning all the new features the update offers. Apparently, there is still a lot of cool things I still need to discover, but I've been having so much fun with all the new features you can now do in your text messages. It's sort of like having Snapchat now in your text messages! Oh, and another thing I discovered, all those annoying Apple apps that nobody ever uses, but we couldn't delete before, well we're now able to delete all those apps if we don't want them! For those of you that have updated your phone's operating system, what are some other cool features of the new iOS 10?

Cool! I haven't being notified yet by my iPhone. When I get the notifications then I will update it. It has iOS 9 running on it now. One more thing Jeff...... our dear friend Dani has never updated iOS on her iPhone. She says she is gonna lose all the data if she updates. Please tell her it doesn't work like that! After that she can decide what she wants. At least we tried! I am suspecting that is the reason she doesn't have "Block the caller" feature in her iPhone. P. S. I totally squealed on you @VivaLaDani13 *runs and hides*

@Daljinder lol no no I said I THINK that's what MIGHT happen since it happened to me on my ipad. I seriously have no clue how technology works! I can't believe you just ran and hid right now because I just did the same with Wesley LOL He just emailed me telling me to go to bed but I said “NO! *runs off and hides*” haha! I can't come look for you if I am already hiding.

@VivaLaDani13 I gathered that and realized that makes you more wary while handling gadgets and stuff. That's why I thought maybe second opinion would help you decide. LOL! Why is he telling you to go to bed? Are you tired? Not enough sleep? Not well? Come out of hiding he won't bite you. lol

I had that same attitude for years when I had my Android phone. But once I finally gave in and switched to an iPhone, it was like night and day! But of course, that was back before the Samsung Galaxy phones hit the market. There's no question that right now Samsung is making better phones than Apple!

@moffittjc My problem is not between Apple and Samsung, I do not care at all about smart phones. I have one only because I had to change my cell phone and they do not make the old ones anymore.

That's a good idea! I should do the same, just so I can make sure I'm not missing out on anything that came with the new update.

My daughter is an Apple person. I will see her later today when we deliver her Chihuahua to her in Portland. It will be interesting to see if she has upgraded yet. She usually does. We changed phones recently, but stuck with androids, not the Samsung that seems to catch fire though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the new Samsungs catching on fire! I was just telling someone today that Samsung has really upped their game against Apple. But when I said their company was on fire recently with their technology upgrades, I didn't mean it literally! hahaha

@moffittjc What a disaster for them just as Apple releases their new one.

@JamesHxstatic Other than the battery catching on fire, the Samsung is a technologically superior phone to the iPhone. And this is coming from an iPhone fan! Can't believe I just said that! lol

Good for you Judy!!! Hold out for as long as you can! Otherwise, you'll become a slave to your phone!

@JudyEv You could, but it would be much harder to see than on a laptop or desktop computer, since the smartphone is such a smaller size!

I have an iPhone 6s as well. What I was referring to in my post is the operating system on your 6s. Apple releases updates for your phone every now and then. If you go to Settings, then scroll down and tap on "General," you will see a tab called "Software Update." If you tap that, it will show you if you need to update your operating software.

I'm glad you're having fun with the new update for your phone. Being able to delete apps you don't want is a plus.

Not everything with an update is all fun and games! I'm finding new things that came with the update to be quite annoying. Thankfully, if you know where to look in Settings, you can always undo many of the new features that come with an update if you don't like them!

I just updated about an hour ago. I was literally telling my husband a few days ago when I did some house cleaning on my phone, how I wanted to delete some of those apple apps. Thanks for letting me know I could finally do it. Not entirely sure how I feel about all the changes though. I am sure I will eventually get used to it.

One of the funny things about every update is that I probably won't use half of the new features they give you with each update. But, it is fun to play around with the new features for the first few days, even if you never intend to use them on a regular basis. I've been having a lot of fun exploring all the new things you can do within your text messages! It's pretty neat, and since I text a lot, it opens up a whole new world for me!
