In my area if you want to apply for a job is getting nuts. Here why ? When I go to the store they say go to the store web site. One problem in my area the store HQ. does not have my local store listed and the are a few differnt stores from fast fast food to the big box. I ma just looking for holiday job. One thing I will not do is work thankgiving day. I can work xmas day not my holiday . Well this year my holiday start xmas night which is Chanukkah but I can work on that holiday Im looking for am hours because my other jobs is eveing hours. But my town is a real joke can not open my food cart , can not apply for jobs. No wonder people are selling drugs it the only way to make money here something I will not do.

A lot of stores do it all through online applications and yes it does get frustrating cause you never get to talk to anybody. The old way of going to a place and applying for a job was much better. At least you got to somebody and a chance to make an impression.

What I find interesting these days is how many interviews people have to go through. Back in my working years, there was always just one interview. Now I hear about people going through multiple interviews. And not necessarily for high level positions. I'd have a nervous breakdown, lol.
