the massacre of slime city

Once upon a time there was a lovely, thriving, little city. It went by the name of Slime City. It was green and pleasant, a land of fun and frivolity. Slime City was exceptionally popular, and if anyone stumbled upon it, they tended to stay.
For Ever.
But, one day something terrible happened. There they were, the inhabitants of Slime City, minding their own business and enjoying each other's company. Suddenly a deep roaring noise began. The vibrations from the roaring noise could be felt throughout the land!
Oh. My. Goodness.
The locals quivered and fretted. They curled up into balls and made themselves as ickle as they possibly could as the deep roaring noise descended upon them. Blades whirled, chopping everything in their path. An occasional local made a run for it, only to find themselves squished, guts everywhere. Deaded.
It was like a horror film.
Eventually the deep roaring noise stopped and the vibrations ended. Slime City became silent, a silence which was only broken by the sound of screaming slugs. Poor slugs.
I am a mass murderer. Of slugs. In my defence though, I did try to move them, but they clung tightly to the grass. There were so many of them, and my lawn really did need mowing. It was the slugs or the grass, and I'm afraid the grass won.
I am hoping they have learnt their lesson, but I suspect that Slime City is too divine to leave.

@poppylicious Cruel lady. I went outside the other night in my bare feet to put stuff in the bin and I stood on several long, slimy slugs.

Eugh. Just the thought of that makes me shudder. I was in the garden a few weeks ago talking to Mumsy on the phone and one of the cheeky little sods had the audacity to start climbing over my foot. Eugh.

no doubt the slugs will disagree but they deserved it!
