The children on Bus 32 were clearly upset. George spoke out first. "You mentioned the possibility of death. I'm not participating in this. You can turn me into a Clown Fish for all I care. I'm not risking my life over this stupid Dream Void." Flavoid looked very angry. "That does it. I have had enough of you. With a snap of his fingers, Flavoid turned George into a pile of dust." "You killed him," said a shocked James. "Murderer." "Enough," said Flavoid. "No more challenges to my authority unless you want to end up looking like George. Now I am going to put you into two groups. Each of you will be entering the same dream. However, the obstacles that you face will seem to be very real. If you feel pain in your dream, your body will respond accordingly. If you feel pleasure, the same thing applies. There are two rows of chambers for you to enter into. Listen carefully as to which group that you are being placed into. Group one shall consist of James, Max, Sarah, Lucy, Ron, Peter, Cindy, Wally, and Chuck. The second group shall consist of Al, Beth, Connie, Jack, Emily, Paul, Rachel, Tim and Steven." "Can I go into the second group?" asked Lucy. I would prefer to be with Connie and Beth." "No!" said Flavoid. "These groups are final. Now group 1 shall enter the left chamber marked the Gray Zone. Group 2 shall enter the right chamber marked Red Zone." "What does that mean?" asked Ron. "You shall see soon enough. Your journey into the Dream Void will take approximately 10 hours. Remember to work together for your survival. I will not be there to bail you out. Weapons and devices will be found in the zones that will help you make it out alive. Good luck. Oh yes, you will not need to wear ear plugs, goggles, or any other things. Now go!" Group 1 and Group 2 are about to encounter their greatest challenges. What will happen to them? Who will make it out alive? These questions and more shall be answered in Part 2.
