I am curious to know if any discussion of you has caught eyes of most members. When was that posted and what could have made it so noticeable. I find popular posts with different kind of subjects , not any particular trend was found common in all those discussions. Is it just a luck or co incidence that the post turns popular?

Often it's coincidence and the results surprise the writer positively or negatively. You can write a brilliant post and for some inexplicable reason hardly anyone reads it. Or you can write a shallow, crappy post and are flooded with responses.

@parpande The number in brackets after a member's name is NOT the number of reads a discussion has got. It's the number of all the member's activities: posting discussions, liking, commenting.

You just raised a trivia question in my mind. What was the highest most popular post of all time? No way that can be found I think.

I think my highest response was from when I posted that my mother and I had to evacuate due to a wildfire. That shows that people care about each other here. Sometimes these things have more to do with timing, though. How many of your friends are online at the time you post, etc.
