Basking at Home

United States
September 24, 2016 2:04pm CST
I am enjoying my home again and happy to be here. I enjoy being at home as much as being away. We didn't encounter as much rain as expected in Disney World but did arrive home to the condo on Monday night pretty sopping wet! That was the worst day for rain. The humidity also lightened up for the second half of the week, which was a boon. Our nice fall weather is appearing and is most welcome. I am going to be busy with my journals and pocket letters now and take in the local beaches. I've had company or been company for 23 days now and I'm ready for some quiet days.

23 days is a long time not to have any time to yourself. You deserve some downtime now.

I think it feels heavenly to slip back into routine when it has been disrupted for so long.

I can't imagine being away from home for 23 days. I bet your are ready for some quiet days. If you don't mind me asking, what are pocket letters?

@Jeanniemaries How exactly does it work? Do you just send it to friends/family?

I have been wet (very wet) many times while visiting Walt Disney World, but I never cared, I love that place too much.

Yes, I really don't mind the rain. It actually clears out the park because so many go home. Then the lines for rides isn't as long. Waiting inside a ride or a store for the rain to stop is usually not a long wait.

@Jeanniemaries I agree, it never rains for hours and the lines are less long than usual.

We are starting to get the cool fall weather here and it is very enjoyable to be able to turn the fans and a/c off.

I know exactly what you mean: we had a guest for 2 months in the summer and I was happy to be back to normal again.

I have so much time alone that I do enjoy every day with guests or being a guest myself, but it's been a long stretch. I left in early July, then home for just two weeks before another 23 days of company. I was very busy that two weeks too! getting ready!
