And Away We Go!

As if I don't have enough on my plate right now, the tile man is busy hammering and banging so much, that Doodles, the cat, ran upstairs. I brought his kitty litter box and food and water up for him, and will take him for extra walks. I can't stand the noise, either. The tiles for our family room were delivered last week. I wouldn't allow the huge trailer truck down our driveway, because we put in a new driveway with an area of Belgian blocks and didn't want them ruined. The driver transported a pallet by hand to the end of the driveway. I signed for the delivery and covered it with a tarp. I did what normally would have been my hubby's job. Our furniture is mostly in, and will be delivered once our painter completes his work. The only problem is that the area rug we chose has been discontinued. Our decorator stopped by with samples. One was so beautiful, but when we found out it cost a small fortune, we decided to look elsewhere. She will help us make the final decision. And of course we can't go looking for a while. Btw, our grandson is fine. Just received a text. He had four polyps removed and has no celiac disease or esophagus problems. I'm so relieved.

I'm so glad your grandson is okay! Sounds like you have a big project going. I would love to replace the carpeting and cabinets in this house for my mom. But then again, we'd have to go somewhere else while it was done, so that's kinda hard. Maybe if we win the publisher's clearing house my mom enters all the time.

Thanks! I was so worried about our grandson. We are redoing the family room, mostly because animals and grandchildren destroyed it over the years. I hope your mom wins and perhaps she can send a little our way. This family room turned out ridiculously expensive and should be the living room. Lol!

It is unusual for his age. Other than that, I don't know nothing else, but will find out. Glad yours never returned.

Well that is good new about your grandson- and fun to decorate I agree but can be costly- We should all just get a wad of 'fun money' from the government---ha!

I know all about that, but don't practice it intentionally. It is what it is, just as long as it looks pretty!

I'm so thrilled to hear good news for a change! The work will be 90% done. We still need to look for lamps and a chandelier, and lastly, window treatments.

I'm glad your grandson is okay. We have had many health worries in our family lately, I just keep praying. My husband does remodeling for a living so he is the annoying noisemaker for home owners-Lol.
