Doing Some MyLot In Between Chores

This morning, I finally did my indoor walking of 35 minutes. It had been almost a week since I walked. And now, I am doing, or should I say my machines are doing the laundry work for me. Isn't that nice? I can sit here in between the washer and dryer time and connect with the whole wide world. What a modern world we live in! Quite a contrast with my great grandmother who had to do her wash by hand and hang everything outside. Do you still hang your laundry outside or do you just use the dryer?

I use a dryer because I live in an apartment complex but if I had my own place I would be hanging my clothes on a line. The just smell so fresh that way. I use to love washing my bedding and hanging it outside to dry. It use to smell so nice when you crawled into bed.

Some clothes do not go in the dryer, so no choice of hanging those somewhere.

In my opinion the washing machine is the biggest invention for a woman. I use the dryer most of the time.

I don't like towels dried on the line, it makes them too stiff. But I love the bedding though.

I don't have a dryer inside or a washing line outside at the moment so it's not the easiest task getting washing dried. I have to hang things up around the house.

@5thHouse, Hanging clothes to dry all over the house is a depressing thing to do for me.

@marlina It is depressing. I hate seeing it all hanging up but it's a warm house and things dry fairly quickly. Hopefully I'll sort out a new dryer soon.

It is nice that we have some machines to do the laundry for us. Personally I just use the dryer to dry the laundry for me. I don't have much space to hang the laundry around my place.

You know, I have never had to or wanted to hang laundry on a line. My mom did when we were little. I also love all the handy machines we have around here.

I'm a modern lady. I use the dryer. Besides, there's no place to hang it outside.

I hang it. I don't own a dryer, not even a washer. I manually wash my clothes.

It depends on the weather or the mood. When it's rainy or it could rain, better just use the dryer and keep the clothes in. But if feeling brave or confident it won't rain, may dry clothes outside.
