It's Days Like This...

Well, Monday, you done did it again! Kicked my butt! Why oh why must you always do this to me?
It was just one of those days. You know the saying, "Some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue." Today, I was the statue. And the pigeons made quite the mess!
Today I felt like I was depriving a village somewhere of an idiot!
On Mondays I set low personal standards and then consistently fail to achieve them!
I was about five beers short of a six-pack today!
The gates were down, the lights were flashing, but the train wasn't coming!
If Mondays were any more stupid, we would have to water them twice a week!
But I got the best of Monday in the end! Handle every stressful situation like a dog...pee on it and walk away!
Boo-yah! Take that Monday!

I approach every day with a sense of humor...even Mondays! It was a rough day, but I still had a smile on my face when I walked out the office door this afternoon!

@Happy2BeMe Maybe if we all had our ultimate dream jobs that we love, we would look forward to Mondays and be excited about going to work! But unfortunately, most people hate their jobs, or at least don't feel fulfilled in their job.

thats the beauty of being retired and old monday d oes not upset me any more not blue at all. but do not stress the snall things and most things are small. get all of your synapses firing at once in your brain and stress not you will be ha ppy

@vandana7 I think he only rested on that very first Sunday. Ever since, us dim-witted humans have been keeping him really busy.

Some days I have good Mondays too, but not that often! Mainly just the Mondays when I am on vacation! lol
I had to hose myself down to get rid of all that bird poop form Monday!

@moffittjc A little more than 5 years is not too long, the years pass so quickly. As my husband is self employed we will never fully retire.

That's a nice way to spend a Monday! Glad you got to enjoy your day! I only have 1,962 more days until I retire, and then I can relax and enjoy my Mondays as well!

@LadyDuck I know it will go fast, so hopefully I can hang in there a little while longer. Even after I "retire" from my current job, I know that I'll never stop working, as I would get too bored sitting around all day without something productive to do.
