This has been an awesome Home School year so far! The kids have been working really hard every day. It's making my husband and I so proud!
Since their working so hard and my oldest daughter has the most A's she gets to pick somewhere special we get to go before the month is over. =)
Today in science we learned about erosion and glaciers. In social studies we learned about the oceans and the continents. In English we did reading comprehension, worksheets and independent reading for 20 minutes. In math we did worksheets and I showed them the start of our coupon adventure. In health we learned about reflexes. =)

@marlina I am learning how to coupon and I am teaching my children as well. We are going to clip coupons together, go to the grocery store with them, learn how to budget and how to save money. =)

Home schooling is nice because you can directly supervise them; but are they able to interact with other kids in school for some time?

@acelawrites This is a big misconception about Home Schooling. They are part of co-op groups which is where a bunch of kids around their ages are learning and playing together. They also go to church groups where they are also around other kids. And I provide childcare at home so they meet children that way too! =) Trust me they socialize plenty with other kids.
Children in school don't socialize by the way. They sit at a desk, do their work and are quiet while they do so. They have a little bit of time at lunch and recess but that's it ALL day long. Not much socializing going on there...

My parents & siblings made me mad this morning. I'm considering the idea of blocking them for good. I just kept myself busy with work. I need to be distracted. The nonsense problems of my family are causing me much stress.

Good to hear that. You really had a blast with the kids! I went to church this morning. After that, I went home and cleaned the house. Then, I posted an article on my blog. It was quite a lazy day today. I am still relaxing as I need to recover faster from being sick for many days. I am glad that I think I can face already my students tomorrow.

I've been suffering from head/jaw aches lately, don't know if it is a tooth, or what some want to say could be allergies, but the pain comes and goes and so I am getting ready to lay back down again and see if I can sleep it off.
However, thanks to your suggestion, I had two people in the FB group give me suggestions for my son for extra activities and to get to know other home schooled boys his age. And, we got good news today, he has been chooses in 2 classes to be the student of the month. One teacher called to interview him while the other is sending an e-mail with questions. I can't wait to see his "student of the month" link when it is posted!!!

@Carmelanirel2 I am so sorry that your in pain. I really hope you feel better. =( Tooth/head/jaw pain is the most painful in my opinion.

My day went great. I kept telling the older couple up the street that we will take them to the grocery store. To just come and ask. They came down and we took them to the store. It felt good to help someone. They are in their eighties and do not drive anymore. We gave them our phone number to call us next time. They are a really nice couple.
