I walked 62 miles in the last 23 days

At least, that's what was recorded. I walked more than that going back and forth with normal tasks, but still, I'm feeling happy about it. It's starting to thin down my body despite the weight still being there (well, I've lost 3 pounds). Of course there's room for improvement. Some days I didn't get to walk and other days were too hot so I stopped early. Now that the weather is getting cooler and I have an arsenal of sneakers, I think I will start walking a little more. Maybe eventually I'll be mentioning that I've walked 100s of miles, but for now, it's just 62.

I know that feeling I have been trying to get hikes in on my days off before winter hits.

@ricki_911 I don't mind it as long as there isn't a lot of ice around. That and snow drifts. I don't think anyone likes walking through those.

It's necessary to counter my sitting weight that I have been accumulating through the years. The other thing that is helping is a better sleeping schedule.

@Hatley Fortunately, I corrected my sleep problems before I started walking. In the end I sleep a little longer these days as well. It must be the calories I'm burning.

It's cheaper to just exercise yourself rather than hitting a gym. Nothing really gets done at a gym. Although my gym is far away, so that's another reason!

I walk when I can, but during the winter the sidewalks and roads are not kind to walking. So I did what I could, but it was hardly enough.

Yep, too bad with all the snow I have been stuck inside these days. But that's okay, I have been writing like a fiend.

We'll see if I am able to do it for a while yet or not. I have 3 new pairs of sneakers, so I think my walking days are only going to continue until I wear them down!

I don't get to walk every day because of my work schedule, but on some of the days I walked for 2 hours, so I made up for it.
