This is happening to me too to one of my friends, I think she accidentally blocked me that's why I cannot respond to her discussions and I have no way to tell her.

@louievill One way to let her know is by asking a third party, someone who is a mutual friend to PM the blocker. If it's indeed accidental, chances are she would appreciate the notice as she would not be aware of the mistake.

As others have said, either you were intentionally or unintentionally blocked.

She's 100% blocked - the possibility is that the block was accidental...

@amandajay yes, could have been deliberately or by accident, no one knows. But one thing is certain when the respond button isn't there, it means you've been blocked.

I've been blocked by a few people I'd never interacted with before...it was because they didn't like what I said somewhere. I've also been accidentally blocked once. If you want to sort it out find a third party that you know that also knows this person and get them to send a message.

The person starting the discussion has blocked you for some reason. This could be because they didn't like your response in a previous discussion of theirs or it could simply be that that person blocks many people for reasons best known to themselves - I know at least one person who blocks everyone who is not from their part of the world. Occasionally it can happen by mistake, especially if that person uses a smart phone and has visited your profile and touched the 'Block' button in error. There is not a lot that you can do about it. If you think that it might be a genuine error, however, you could look for someone you are following who is also following that person and ask them, via the Private Messaging system, to contact that person and ask whether they had blocked you by mistake.
