Mike Rodak reports the news the Buffalo Bills on Friday have placed their wide receiver Sammy Watkins on the injured reserved list. Watkins is battling a foot injury that has kept off the gridiron during the football game versus the Arizona Cardinals last week. Watkins was not able to join his teammates in practice this week. Watkins can rejoin the team in practice in eight weeks which would on November 11, 2016 but he is not eligible to return to play football until November 27 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. The catch is that the Bills will have 21 days when is eligible to return to practice to be activated for placed back on the injured reserved list for the remainder of the current football season. The Bills claimed off waivers wide receiver Justin Hunter who was released by the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday. Hunter played three seasons as a wideout for the Tennessee Titans before he was released before the start of the current football season. The Miami Dolphins claimed Hunter off waivers before the start of the current football season before he was released on Wednesday. Bills head coach Rex Ryan is concerned that the injury to Watkins could sideline him for the entire 2016 football season.
