Tomorrow I have guests, the menu is already decided as per their request. Spinach and cheese cannelloni and chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes. As they were too much undecided about the dessert, they asked to me to prepare what I think it's the best. I am going through the photos of the latest desserts I have made to pick up ideas. In my photo, from top left to bottom right: - Double chocolate mousse - Orange custard tartlets, with chocolate shaped spoon - Apple and puff pastry roses - Strawberry cheesecake If I asked you to choose, which one would you like more?

It is a torture to decide, they all look delicious. Chocolate mousse is one of my preferred dessert and you cannot be wrong if you offer a chocolate mousse, but I think that I would taste the pastry roses that I have never had before, it looks like a piece of art.

The pastry roses (incredibly) are the easiest to make and they look very nice too. I think this can be a good idea.

@LadyDuck Pastry roses look very nice, and I do not remember to have had this dessert. It can be a pleasant surprise for your guests if they do not know it.

@topffer I am pretty sure that I have not yet prepared the roses for them, I made for my niece and her fiancee, who brought with them home all the leftovers.

my first choice would be the strawberry cheesecake, but i'm willing to try the apple and the orange because they're unique and i might not be able to taste them again. if you say the apple is the easiest to make, then go for it, since you already have so many things to do, before, during and after.

@hereandthere I have a silicon mold. I melt the chocolate in the mold and let rest until completely cooled down. They are very easy to make.

I have prepared the cheesecake and the apple roses (they are so easy to make), so they have the choice. Now I am making the cannelloni.

I want more of... everything! They all look so delicious, and beautiful too... The photos look like something from a dessert or baking book, even better than some of them in there...

Thank you for the compliment, those are desserts that I have prepared during the last few weeks. I almost always take a photo, because I am saving my personal recipes as web pages. I plan to share them on a blog one day.

They all look like little works of art here. I think that I'd request the double chocolate mousse.

@LadyDuck Is the mousse easy to make, I've never tried it. I have seen the roses online.

@Juliaacv Chocolate is always a bit tricky to work. If you overheat, or if it enter in contact with water, it turns into a grainy, clumpy mess. I have the habit to make the mousse and it's not difficult to make. The important is to melt the dark chocolate at no more than 120 F and the white at 110.

It seems to be one of the most requested, I wonder if to prepare the roses (that are easy) AND the chocolate mousse.

It's a no-bake cheesecake, very light. Also the roses are good, but the puff pastry is surely more "heavy".

@LadyDuck All desserts look delicious but I'm personally not a fan of chocolate mousse hehe. Next up I would Apple and puff pastry roses (looks beautiful), then the Orange custard tartlets, with chocolate shaped spoon (love the touch of chocolate spoon touch) & lastly the mousse!

The roses taste like an apple pie, because they are made of puff pastry and apples sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. They look nice on a table.

Lucky, lucky guests. I think I'd be picking the apple roses although I love mousse too. And how clever to be able to make chocolate spoons. Vince is going to be very envious of you.
