Are you really that broke?

I am laughing at how stupid my friend makes herself. I was going to town, and she asked for a ride. I have told her numerous times I am not wasting my gas because I WORK FOR EVERYTHING. If I am going to that place or even that area I don't mind. She was before expecting me to drive 45minutes while I am out of the way for her. She today claims how broke she is. I guess she thought I should give her money or something. Now for me if you are BROKE you have nothing, selling your life possessions, and literally eating out o a garbage pail (which I have been there). BUT she has name brand clothes, and enough clothes to do about 6 people in a month. Her mom does her laundry, and pays for the water/ detergent. She has a cellphone, and her boyfriend has a decent enough job (where does his money go). But she whines how she can't afford anything, and she so broke. Meanwhile in the same sentence she proceeds to say I am beyond poor. Well unlike most I may have no money but I don't consider myself broke or poor. I have a roof, food, and little possessions. Just makes me laugh when someone whines they are so broke in most cases when they are the ones to announce it they are far from having no money, and have everything they need necessities.

I know someone like that. She is married and her husband always has money for what he wants. She just does not get any of it and she has kids to feed. They are always hungry.

I hate when people say they are broke and they really aren't.

I just find it funny, I told her so why not wash your clothes in the bathtub or sink. Why are you eating out when you have no money. She shut up pretty fast, but the fact she tells me Iam poor as poor can be. Yet, I am rather happy.

@carebear29 I think she just does it to complain and people give her things.

I completely agree. I spent today at home relaxing, and cleaned a little.

Just keep her happy. What is there.? She will realize her mistake for calling you beyond poor. They are all beautiful experiences. There is some thrill in them.

She sounds very well off to me, You shouldn't give into her wants. Let her work for them.

No, hence why I told her I am not driving anymore. She would talk you into going somewhere, now I refuse.

@ricki_911 that's good, you shouldn't drive her around when she can better afford it.

I think even if we don't have money as long as we have something to start on that will be a greater turning point to start a new money maker and a peace to oneself for thinking they donhave anything and will not feel a bit useless anymore. But it takes eogh courage to rediscover oneself.

Being broke is definitely a relative thing. You just inspired me to make a post.
